This journey had been quite difficult as I struggled between work and school, practice and theory, making and writing. I enjoy creative writing but when it comes to research papers, it's really painful. I'm grateful for all the opportunities I got to collaborate with awesome and talented people for my product makings and testings. I also have heartfelt thanks for my tutors, focus group and people who helped me in the project, taking part in all my surveys and numerous testings.
There was definitely a sense of disappointment knowing that the physical exhibition can’t take place given the work and effort we have put in the past 1.5 years. It would have been nice to conclude this project with the exhibition. But looking back now, the journey has already given me more than I could have asked for. I’ve learnt so much from many people who were generous to share and for that, I am thankful.
If you're interested in my research topic on excessive recreational screen use, do visit my research log: Time Well Spent Project at a Glance. I also documented my research, making process and testing in detail, if you have time to look through the research log, do share your thoughts with me. I've attached a video that shares one part of the study that looks into enabling time well spent activities by meaningfully minimise excessive recreational screen use and facilitating mindful usage in various well-being domains using a Humansic Design methodology.
I am incredibly happy to move on from this study chapter and I'm going to take some time to figure out what's up next. I hope you guys are staying safe and healthy! xx
Love,
Ace
