Handmade Dress

While packing my clothes yesterday for upcoming work trip tomorrow, I found a simple crepe dress my mum made for me when I turned 12. The edges are lined with delicate pink lace trimming and I really like the whole clean and sleek silhouette. I remember I didn't know how to appreciate this design as compared to other outfits she made for me because it's just so girly! I was a tomboy when young - I absolutely disliked wearing dresses. But now to look at the dress again - after almost 10 years, I think it's feminine and minimal, an aesthetic appeal I appreciate as I grow older. You must be wondering why am I able to fit into a dress made 12 years ago?! I'm surprised and amused too. Guess I didn't grow much but I never hoped to be taller (even if I made jokes about it before), I actually like being petite. Other than only seeing backs and heads at concerts for being short, sometimes I can fit into kiddies clothes! People tend to mistake me for being much younger than I actually am, I'm not sure if it's a good thing right now... but it definitely sounds great when I'm in my thirties/fourties! :p

Till next time!
